I was raised Southern Baptist, accepted Jesus as my personal Savior at the age of seven. I was a very sickly child. From being seriously anemic to having horrible allergic reactions to many common substances that resulted in many surgeries. I learned at an early age how to pray and had a good relationship with Jesus. Active in the youth group at church I was one of those kids that carried her Bible to school. Youth for Christ group formed in High School and I joined that. In those days school began with a list of announcements followed by the Pledge to the American Flag, and a few moments of silence for those who wanted to pray. Times were so very different back then. Graduation brought a local summer job and a whole new group of friends. New friends were not Christians and soon I too began to enjoy going out after work for a good time dancing and partying. Fast forward to marriage and then five years later I had my first son, then another five years and another son. My boys fought like prize fighters and led to me searching out counsel on ways to calm my home. This searching led me into a more advanced relationship with Jesus, deeper and certainly full of some powerful highs and bottom of the barrel lows. I call that life. Looking back I can't even imagine how that would have been without Jesus. The times I was closest to Him were in those horrible low times in my life for it was then that He carried me. He has never stopped loving me. He loves you the exact same way. Today I am mostly MaMaw, spending each day learning as much as I can and praying for those in need. Each day we are one day closer to leaving this world. Are you ready for what's next?
